Als höchste Auszeichnung vergibt die Jury die »Goldene Letter«, außerdem werden eine »Goldmedaille«, zwei »Silbermedaillen«, fünf »Bronzemedaillen« und fünf »Ehrendiplome« vergeben. Alle Auszeichnungen sind undotiert. Die Verleihung der Urkunden findet in der Regel im Rahmen der Leipziger Buchmesse statt.
